We are the Gift: a solution to a despairing economy.
During this time of economic uncertainty, social disruption and cultural transitions, many of our basic daily functions are rapidly changing.
As "money gets tight" and we all feel the "pinch" in our pockets, we tend to allow a similar reaction within our minds and bodies. We tighten up our shoulders and shut off our hearts to others in need. When we live "paycheck to paycheck" and can barely afford to feed ourselves, the lavish lifestyles of "the rich and the famous" get under our skin too easily. We find ourselves blaming other people, society, the government and money itself.
Slowly, as I watch my own life transition in and out of these ways of thinking, I am realizing that blame and guilt only service the debt game further. So I wax philosophical...
Is money really the root of all evil?
Evil is a moral judgement.
Non-animate things cannot be responsible for morality.
Are those who hold most of the money absolutely evil then?
That is an entirely illogical conclusion as well.
There are plenty of wealthy people who are changing the world for the better.
How? Because they have money to enact powerful and effective changes.
So what feels so wrong about money?
It is our RELATIONSHIP with it - how we use it and what we believe about it.
A relationship posesses morality because it can feel "right or wrong" (healthy or unhealthy).
Personally, I have never found any motivation or satisfaction through my participation in the traditional monetary system. The way we engage with each other through ownership, supply+demand, corporate capitalism, and debt-oriented relations is disheartening.
However, I believe we are at the precipice of a new era. The illusions of scarcity and separation are rapidly dissolving. The economics of usery and corporate market manipulation are falling apart. We, the people, are wising up, fast.
In the midst of any major social collapse, it is up to those who can see through the despair, to create new ways for healthy interaction - to choose the path less travelled - to live out their ideas of "how things should be" before they are fully integrated as new systems.
The pioneers of the new economic frontier have already paved the way for those longing to function within the current monetary system, but in alignment with our ideals.
In his book, Sacred Economics, Charles Eisenstein says: The gift economy represents a shift from consumption to contribution, transaction to trust, scarcity to abundance and isolation to community.
The Gift Economy offers clarity, community and an opportunity for sustainable livelihood beyond the current broken systems littered with fasle premises for human interaction.
If we believe that we are infinite, that we are the universe revealing itself through creation, that we are One, that through surrender we are always deeply eternally guided and cared for, that none of our needs will ever be lost, then it only logicaly concludes that we do not need to charge others, demand payments, and set monetary values for our worth. That is all far too limiting!
If we are infinite, then we are the need, the want and the satisfaction. We are everything.
We are the giver, the receiver, the winner, the loser; and we are the gift!
When we open ourselves to infinite possibilities, then infinite abundance is available.
Therefore, it is with pleasure, honor and gratitude that I offer my knowledge, skills, consultation and services as a Gift to anyone who needs or wants them. I offer this gift free of any expectation or obligation to return it. I surrender in full faith that my ever need, wish and desire will be granted, as it serves my path in awakening.
I have found freedom and ease through my new relationship with money, economics and others now, and I hope to share this freedom with you. It is a joy to give myself in love.
